Easily the hottest wedding we have photographed in Canada. It was a mere 38 degrees (before the humidity) on August 11, 2018. From the roots of Scotland these two “tied the knot”. Literally they performed a handfasting ritual which is where the saying actually came from. Tying the 3 brands of rope together signifies joining their lives together forever. Getting married with your closest friends on the “back 40” of a farm yard is great way to go and make it your own.
Summer is heating up, and this wedding was no different. I think it was just over 30 degrees and Kevin rocked the 3 piece suit and a full beard like a boss! What a special day. It is not everyday where the best man is actually the man’s best friend. Blue is a 14 year old Husky/Sheppard mix nearing the end of his trails but he made it to the dad’s big day! Thank you Tannis and Ron for picking Kathy and I to be a part of your most special day. Oh and the midnight hotdog cart was awesome!
Victoria Beach is already an amazing place to visit. Throw in a cottage wedding and it just doesn’t get better. Both Kathy and I got enjoy this special day with Marlene and James and were honoured.
